Vivek “Vik” Khanna is the Director of Contracts Management and Licensing at Tulane Medical Center where he has been employed for the past 19 years. In his current role, Vik oversees the contracts management program and state health department licensure for two southshore campuses of Tulane Medical Center and Tulane-Lakeside Hospital and partial coverage at the northshore campus of Lakeview Regional Medical Center. Vik is directly responsible for over 1,100 active contractual arrangements for the Tulane Medical Center hospital system and carries a portfolio of over 200 pending contracts and projects.
Vik was born and raised in Mumbai India and received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the College of Wooster, Wooster Ohio in 1997. Vik also graduated from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, New Orleans with a Master of Science in Public Health in 1998 and a Master of Healthcare Administration in 2000. Vik has been associated with the Gulf South LGBT Chamber as an active Member since 2016 and a Board Member since 2018. Vik is passionate about creating successful professional and business networks and inclusivity within the local LGBT community with support and active involvement of our community allies.
Vik has been a New Orleans resident for over 20 years. He enjoys traveling and is an avid long distance runner.
